30 August 2007 Summer review:

As summer is nearly here again, it is time to remember. Remember how your air conditioners worked overtime last summer particularly on the western side of your building. Section J of the Building Code requires new buildings to be energy efficient. Expanses of glass on the West and North do allow large heat penetration despite laminates used to reduce it. idec offers a range of quality architectural louvres and screens that stop the heat before it can penetrate the glass. Our designs can enhance the appearance of your building as well as providing a more energy efficient building. Contact our office to discuss with our friendly metalwork team about your needs.

22 August 2007 North Queensland Report:

idec North Queensland is under way with its first projects. A new airport hangar for the Royal Flying Doctors is to be designed and supplied by idec. The hangar is to be constructed at the Cairns Airport and as is part of a large project for Noel Cunningham and Cunningham Builders. Davco Farming, the most technologically advanced cane farm in Australia, has purchased a new warehouse designed and supplied by idec. This warehouse is 109m long and 30m wide and has been designed to meet both the unique needs and the exacting standards of Davco Farming. With many projects in negotiation and with new tender requests arriving every day the outlook for the idec North Queensland office is excellent.
