Community
idec is committed to being a vigorous part of the community and as such has a strong focus on activities and attitudes that are not only community conscious but participatory in a variety of expressions.
At idec we promote individual initiative towards community needs and societies. Many of the idec team have leading roles in community organisations. The idec staff has supported, and will continue to support, a variety of initiatives by giving financially and practically to specific charity, community and individual projects.
The management of idec understands and appreciates the importance of being involved with the local community. The health of the individual, the local and the global community all depend upon this involvement.
Current community initiatives and involvement include such activities as:
- idec’s Christmas Appeal
- Support for specific projects via community organisations such as Rotary Club
- Loud Shirt Day for Hear and Say Centre
- Movember Foundation (men’s health research)
- Sporting teams
- Youth groups
