Curtis Island LNG works

Bechtel and ATCO Structures are currently building construction camps on Curtis Island (near Gladstone, Queensland) for the QCLNG, GLNG and APLNG groups building their gas processing and shipping projects. idec has been selected to design, fabricate and erect all the larger structures such as maintenance, storage, wet mess/tavern, sports pavilion and laundry buildings for each of these projects.

idec is employed to do the foundations, concrete works, structural steel and cladding for each of these buildings.

idec’s in-house capacity has enabled us to meet the short time frames, difficult logistics and varying design requirements to produce efficient designs completed in an integrated and timely fashion.

The camps are large and will accommodate many workers:

• GLNG: 1,000
• APLNG: 2,600
